YOU CAN USE YOUR CAC WITH WINDOWS 7
The Windows 7 Install is no different than it is for Vista, XP, or 8, so please use the Installation steps on the left.
NOTICE: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 11 users will have to add their OWA server [or any other websites that are not working] to their "Compatibility View Settings" by following slides 19 & 20 in this guide. You may then have to reinstall the S/MIME control.
To use DTS on Windows 7 with IE 11, look here for instructions
You do have an another option if you have a PIV II compliant CAC. Look on the back of the card (above the black magnetic strip). There will see "GEMALTO TOP DL GX4 144," "GEMALTO DLGX4-A 144," "Oberthur ID One 128 v5.5 Dual," or "G&D FIPS 201 SCE 3.2" (see examples below). Since Windows 7 has a built in Smart Card utility, you "may" be able to use your CAC without the need of ActivClient.
